Shimmering thin needles arc beautifully through this 25.88 ct rutilated quartz gem.   The random layout of rutile in rutilated quartz is rarely this beautiful and 'organized'. Mother Nature was having a good day when she created this one.  Once again, the gem was hand carved in Idar Oberstein, Germany, the world centre for fine gem carving.
